Sedalia Animal Shelter Reopens with Restrictions in Place on Monday, May 4, 2020 

Several City of Sedalia facilities, including the Sedalia Animal Shelter,  will allow measured public access starting on Monday, May 4, 2020. Click here to view some of the guidelines the City will have in place.

Hours of operation: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm., Monday through Saturday.           

Sedalia Animal Shelter is dedicated to caring for homeless pets in our community through adoptions, cruelty investigations, community awareness, and caring for companion animals until loving  homes can be found.

Come see us for all your adoption needs.  All pets are examine by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption.  Fees for adoption include:  initial vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. 

Adoption   Fee 
Feline - cat $35.00 
Feline - kitten (1 year and younger) $45.00
Canine - adult mixed breed dog $55.00 to $150.00 
Canine - adult small breed dog $85.00 to $150.00
Canine - puppy (1 year and younger) $85.00 to $150.00
Hold provision $40.00

The Sedalia Animal Shelter accepts all types of donations, which can be dropped off at the shelter, as it takes a lot to ensure the well being of our pets.  No matter how big or small, all donations are appreciated.  We are also always looking for compassionate volunteers to help care for our four legged friends.  Volunteer service may include but not limited to:  bathing, cleaning, feeding, walking, and playing with the pets.  Rewards may include:  wet noses, wagging tails, and lots of cuddling.

Volunteers will need to contact the Shelter for available hours.
