Sedalia City Council
The Sedalia City Council is vested with the legislative authority of the city government and sets the strategic vision and guidance for city operations. The Council sets city policy by passing ordinances and resolutions. The Council approves the city budget, appoints and supervises the City Administrator, and confirms Mayoral nominations to the various city Boards & Commissions. Additionally, the Council approves city development and takes action on recommendations from the Citizen's Traffic Advisory Commission and the Planning & Zoning Board. In short, the City Council oversees all the city's functions.
City Council meets on the first and third Monday of each month unless otherwise specified. The Council meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 200 South Osage Ave.
