Sedalia Animal Shelter Trooper Fund
The Sedalia Animal Shelter started The Trooper Fund in March of 2017 when a border collie mix puppy arrived at the shelter with a broken leg. Unfortunately, the brave little pup needed amputation surgery. The shelter staff named him "Trooper" and began The Trooper Fund. The monies raised through the Trooper Fund allowed the Sedalia Animal Shelter Staff to see Trooper through his surgery and ultimately place him in the home... of a Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper!
Through the generosity and support of animal lovers near and far, the Trooper Fund continues to help pets like Trooper overcome traumatic injuries and ultimately find their forever home. To date, The Trooper Fund has helped two other dogs and one cat.
How Can I Help?
Visit, snuggle, apply, and adopt!
The primary goal of the Sedalia Animal Shelter is to care for homeless pets in our community. This is accomplished through adoptions, cruelty investigations, community awareness, and caring for companion animals until loving homes can be found. For pets who receive care through The Trooper Fund, interested adoptive parties are required to complete an adoption application and interview with the Shelter Staff.
