Downtown Grants
The City of Sedalia offers grant programs to support building improvements in its Central Business District, including facade rehabilitation, structural inspections, and awning installations, with varying levels of reimbursement.
Facade Grant
The City of Sedalia's Facade Grant Program is designed to assist, facilitate and encourage historically appropriate improvements to existing buildings to preserve the integrity of its character defining features while also promoting further economic success within the boundaries of the Central Business District (see map below). The City of Sedalia will provide a standard reimbursement for 50% of the facade rehabilitation up to $7,500.
Structural Engineer Grant
The City of Sedalia's Engineer Grant Program is designed to support, assist and encourage structurally sound reconstruction, restoration or rehabilitation initiatives during their primary stages with in the boundaries of the Central Business District to promote economic success. The City of Sedalia will provide a standard reimbursement of 100% of a structural engineer's inspection fee and report up to $2500.
Mini Grant for Awnings
The City of Sedalia's Mini Grant for Awnings will provide a standard reimbursement for 50% of the cost for a building's awning up to $5,000.
