Shine Your Shoe Buckles: Downtown Sedalia to Turn Green for 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Shine your shoe buckles and get ready for the sound of bagpipes. Downtown Sedalia will turn green on Saturday, March 14 as the community gathers for a full day of St. Patrick’s Day festivities, beginning with the annual parade and continuing with the Bed Races and Pub Crawl.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Leading off this year’s parade will be the Mid-Missouri Pipe Band, filling the streets with traditional bagpipe music as they march at the front of the procession.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will step off at 11:00 a.m. at 7th Street and South Ohio Avenue, traveling north along Ohio Avenue and concluding at Ohio Avenue and Main Street.

Parade lineup begins at 10:00 a.m. in the parking lots near 7th Street and South Ohio Avenue. All entries will be assigned a parade number, which must be clearly displayed in the front window of each entry to ensure proper lineup placement.

Businesses, organizations, families, and community groups are invited to participate. Parade entry registration is $50. Registration details are available at: https://www.sedalia.com/news/2026-saint-patricks-day-parade/

Annual Bed Races
Following the parade, the Lions Club and Sedalia Firefighters Local 103 will once again host the annual Bed Races.

Registration is now open, and teams are encouraged to sign up and join the fun. Proceeds collected by Local 103 this year will directly support its scholarship program, helping members of the community pursue careers as first responders.

Bed Race sign-ups are available at: 2026 St. Patrick’s Pub Crawl Bed Races.
