Emergency Snow Routes Active

A snow emergency has been officially declared for the City of Sedalia. When more than 2 inches of snow, sleet, or ice is expected within a 24-hour period, the City declares a snow emergency and the Emergency Snow Routes go into effect. Parking is prohibited along these routes once the snow emergency occurs.

Emergency Snow Routes are essential for improving traffic flow after a snowstorm or significant icing. This allows for crews to move efficiently and safely, helping to clear snow and ice as quickly as possible. The Street Department prioritizes these designated streets to ensure they remain open for emergency vehicles and essential travel.

Travelers are encouraged to remain alert and give all heavy equipment and salt spreaders plenty of space as they work.

Residents can review the Emergency Snow Route Map using the link provided to confirm whether their street is included. Thank you for helping keep our community safe during winter weather conditions.
