Parade Participation Agreement & Liability Waiver

1. Participation & Payment Requirement
I, on behalf of the organization/group listed in this registration, understand and agree that participation in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade is contingent upon full payment of the required flat entry fee of $50.00.

I acknowledge that the organization/group will not be permitted to participate in the parade unless payment is received in full by the designated deadline.

2. Responsibility for Float and Assigned Space
The participating organization/group is solely responsible for:

  • The safety, construction, and operation of its float or entry
  • The conduct of all participants associated with its entry
  • Maintaining its assigned space and position within the parade lineup
  • Ensuring compliance with all parade rules, regulations, and instructions
  • The City assumes no responsibility for monitoring, supervising, or maintaining the participant’s float or designated area.

3. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
The participating organization/group acknowledges that parade activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to property damage, equipment damage, personal injury, or other unforeseen incidents.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organization/group agrees to release, waive, and discharge The City of Sedalia, its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

  • Damage to property owned by the participant
  • Damage to floats, vehicles, equipment, or materials
  • Losses incurred during participation in the parade
  • The City shall not be held responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen property.

4. Indemnification
The participating organization/group agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The City of Sedalia from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the actions, negligence, or participation of the organization/group or its members.
