Tools Stolen from North Central Sidewalk Project Trailer

A weekend theft at the North Central Sidewalk Project has left contractors without essential tools and equipment, prompting a call for community assistance.
According to city officials, the tool trailer belonging to S&A Equipment & Builders was broken into sometime over the weekend. Stolen items included Milwaukee hand tools, a generator, and several other pieces of construction equipment critical to the ongoing sidewalk improvements in the neighborhood.
The Sedalia Police Department is investigating, and Pettis County Crime Stoppers is encouraging residents to come forward with information.
“Every tool stolen represents another challenge to keeping this important project on track,” city staff noted. “We’re asking for the public’s help to recover these items and hold those responsible accountable.”
Crime Stoppers allows citizens to provide information anonymously. No caller ID, recordings, or electronic tracking are used, and tipsters receive a unique code to check the status of their tip. Those who provide information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
