Sedalia Police Department Now Accepting Applications for 2025 Citizens Police Academy

Ever wonder what it’s like to step into the shoes of a police officer? The Sedalia Police Department invites residents to find out by enrolling in the 2025 Citizens Police Academy — a six-week, hands-on program designed to deepen public understanding of law enforcement operations.
Sessions will be held Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning September 30 and concluding with a graduation ceremony on November 4.

How to Apply
Interested participants must be at lease 18 years old and able to pass a background check. To apply, complete the short application and return it in person to the Sedalia Police Department at 300 W. 3rd Street.
