Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and continuing until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, E. 5th Street from S. Thompson Avenue to S. Hancock Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Heavy equipment and workers will be in the area working on a stormwater placement project and road repairs. Residents needing access to their driveways will need to coordinate with staff on site. Travelers in the area are advised to find an alternate route to their destination. This work is weather dependent and inclement weather may result in the work being rescheduled to a later date.
