QuikTrip to Join Sedalia at the Crossroads — Bringing Jobs, Convenience, and More Community Growth
The City of Sedalia is pleased to announce that QuikTrip (QT), a nationally recognized leader in convenience retail, fresh food, and high-quality fuel, is officially coming to Sedalia.
The new QuikTrip location will be constructed at the northwest corner of U.S. Highway 65 and U.S. Highway 50, one of the most visible and highly traveled intersections in Missouri. The site offers direct access for residents, commuters, and visitors and reinforces Sedalia’s role as a regional hub for travel and commerce.
QuikTrip’s arrival represents another step forward in Sedalia’s continued economic momentum. The new store will bring employment opportunities, expanded services, and a trusted national brand known for its commitment to quality, efficiency, and community involvement. The location will feature QT Kitchens, offering fresh, made-to-order food, convenient grab-and-go options, and a clean, welcoming environment designed to serve both local customers and travelers.
Mayor Andrew Dawson welcomed the announcement and highlighted the broader impact of the investment.
“QuikTrip’s investment is another strong signal of the continued momentum we’re seeing in Sedalia,” said Mayor Andrew Dawson. “When nationally recognized companies choose to locate here, it reinforces that Sedalia is growing, well-positioned, and moving in the right direction. This project brings new jobs, new services, and adds to the long-term strength of our community.”
The new QuikTrip is expected to create approximately two dozen full-and part-time jobs, offering competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
A representative from QuikTrip also expressed excitement about joining the Sedalia commuity.
“Sedalia is a growing, welcoming city with a strong sense of community,” said Aisha Jefferson, QuikTrip’s Corporate Communications Manager. “We look forward to becoming part of daily life here, whether customers are fueling up, grabbing a meal, or stopping in during their travels.”
Construction on the new location is anticipated to begin late summer of ’26, with a grand opening planned for early Spring of ’27.
