Meet Sara Spencer, Program Specialist

The City of Sedalia is excited to welcome Sara Spencer as our new Program Specialist, supporting Downtown Sedalia Main Streets and helping showcase the heart of our community.

In her Community Engagement role, Sara will focus on creating meaningful downtown experiences that bring people together, support local businesses, and make downtown Sedalia a vibrant backdrop for both residents and visitors. From creative events and partnerships to fresh ideas that drive foot traffic, her work will center on strengthening the energy, visibility, and vitality of our historic downtown.

Sara brings a strong background in marketing and social media, paired with a passion for community-building and placemaking. She’s excited to work alongside downtown business owners, organizations, and partners to create welcoming spaces and experiences that highlight what makes Sedalia unique.

“I’m looking forward to finding creative ways to bring people downtown, support our local businesses, and showcase the heart of Sedalia,” Sara shared. “I want downtown to be a place our community is proud of, and a place visitors remember.”
