Emergency Snow Routes Have Been Activated

In preparation for incoming winter weather, the City of Sedalia’s Public Works Department has activated Emergency Snow Routes effective immediately.

Once Emergency Snow Routes are activated, all vehicles must be removed from designated snow routes so Public Works crews can safely and efficiently clear roadways. Vehicles parked on emergency snow routes may be ticketed or towed if they interfere with snow removal operations. A parking prohibition shall remain in effect until terminated by an announcement.

Keeping these routes clear is critical for:
• Snowplow access
• Emergency vehicle response
• Public safety during winter weather

Public Works street crews are actively monitoring conditions and are prepared to respond as snowfall begins.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, move vehicles promptly, and use caution while traveling.
