City of Sedalia Receives Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (TRIM Grant): Tree Planting, Tree Care Information and Watering Equipment
The City of Sedalia was recently notified it has received a TRIM Grant for $13,320 through the Missouri Department of Conservation. These funds will be used to assist in the planting of forty trees at Katy Park and the Sedalia Animal Shelter. This will help to replace trees, which were removed because of disease or damage from the park, and help to establish a new grove of trees next to the walking trail at the shelter. In order to help with the new tree establishment throughout the City’s public grounds, funds will also be used to purchase watering “gator” bags and two portable pumps. A “Tree Care Basics” flyer will be included in the residents March utility billing.
Any questions regarding these activities may be directed to the Public Works Department, 200 S. Osage, Sedalia, MO at (660) 827-3000 extension 1166.
