Arbor Day Event Planned for Friday, April 4, 2025

The Arbor Day event will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Sedalia Animal Shelter, 2420 S. New York Ave., with Mayor Dawson reading an Arbor Day proclamation followed by a self-guided walk of the trails used by the shelter to help exercise the animals under its care. This year the funds obtained from the Missouri Department of Conservation’s TRIM grant purchased 25 trees to help add to the urban forest and provide shade for the animals, workers and volunteers. There will be a limited number of tree saplings available at the event.
