West 2nd Street Terrace Resurfacing: West 2nd Street Terrace from Rainbow Drive to West Avenue — Mill & Overlay to Begin Monday, August 31, 2026 through Thursday, September 3, 2026

Beginning on Monday, August 31, 2026, and continuing through Thursday, September 3, 2026, the City of Sedalia’s Public Works Operations Division will be milling and overlaying West 2nd Street Terrace from Rainbow Drive to West Avenue. During this period, road construction will result in the roadway being closed to through traffic. Residents living along this roadway will need to coordinate with City Crews on site should they need access to their driveways. Mill and overlay work will begin each day at 6:00 a.m. and continue through 4:00 p.m. Heavy equipment and workers will be present in the roadway during this period. Inclement weather or equipment breakdowns could delay completion.
