2023 Christmas Light Contest

Let’s make Sedalia shine brightly this holiday season!

What better way to spread Christmas cheer than to decorate your home with lights that wow your neighbors? The City of Sedalia is excited to host its 43rd Annual Christmas Light Contest and we want YOU to participate.

Show off your holiday spirit and creativity for a chance to win one of three cash prizes! The first place winner will be awarded $100, second place receives $50 and third place receives $25.

Your home’s holiday decorations will be judged from the street view based on lighting, eye appeal, originality and overall appeal.

Applications will be accepted no later than noon on Monday, Dec. 11. Judging will begin at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
