Recycling Permit

The City of Sedalia and Pettis County have partnered to make resident recycling available to residents. An annual fee of $128 per calendar year is charged. This fee is used to offset the costs of collecting, transporting, and disposing of materials. Apply for a permit to recycle below or in person.

Upon receipt of their permit, residents can deliver residential recycling materials to the City of Sedalia's Materials Management Site at 27882 Highway U, just south of the city limits on Ingram Avenue. Each household will receive (2) recycling decals to be displayed in the rear windows of the vehicles delivering recyclables to the drop-off site.

The site is open 7 days a week, excluding city holidays, from 7 a.m to 5:30 p.m. for the collection of electronic waste and glass. Household hazardous waste disposal is available to residents by appointment only. Residents may call (660) 827-3000, ext. 1166, to schedule a drop-off time.
