Compost & Mulch
The City of Sedalia's Compost Facility, built in 2010, is located at 27882 Hwy U Sedalia, MO 65301. This facility combines sludge from the City's three Wastewater Treatment Plants with yard waste chips to make a Class A Biosolid. This compost is exceptional for any use - from large farming to small residential gardening. Uses besides gardening include vegetable plants, flower beds, and lawns.

Purchase Compost and Mulch
Use the button below to purchase compost and mulch online. Compost and mulch can also be purchased by contacting or visiting the Municipal Building during regular business hours.
The Compost Facility is open to pick up purchased products Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
There is a maximum of 3 cubic yards of compost allowed per person per week
