Prairie Hollow Water and Sewer Main Extension

The work consists of performing public improvements including: installation of approximately 7,000 linear feet of 10″ diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) water main, approximately 5,100 linear feet of 6″ diameter PVC sanitary sewer force main, approximately 110 linear feet of 48″ drainage gravity pipe, approximately 150 linear feet of 36″ drainage gravity pipe, and installation of a packed 8′ diameter dual pump, fiberglass packaged lift station and valve vault. Construction includes installation of all associated pipeline appurtenances, packaged lift station (purchased by others), connection of 10″ water main and 6″ sanitary sewer force main to existing respective water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems, repair of damage to street incurred during installation, and all incidental and/or related work as necessary to provide a complete project.

Details
Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages, as set out in the wage order attached to and made part of the specification for work under the contract, shall be paid to all workers performing work under the contract.
Copies of plans and specifications can be viewed or purchased for a Non-Refundable fee on the Drexel’s website, www.drexeltech.com or by calling them at 816-471-7176. Electronic Copies of Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for bidding purposes may also be obtained from Jeremy Stone at jstone@sedalia.com. A twenty-dollar ($20.00) non-refundable payment is required for each set of digital plans and specifications.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on November 13, 2024 at the City of Sedalia Municipal Building, 200 Osage Ave., Sedalia, MO 65301. Following the meeting an optional site visit will be offered to prospective bidders.
All questions shall be submitted in writing to Elizabeth Nations (enations@sedalia.com) via email by November 18, 2024. Responses shall be issued as an addendum by November 22, 2024.
All bidders are required to submit their proposal on the printed forms contained in the Contract Documents. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked on the outside “PRAIRIE HOLLOW WATER AND SEWER MAIN EXTENSION” with the name of bidder.
A bidders bond for the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid made payable to the City of Sedalia must accompany each proposal.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities in the bids. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after date of bid opening. The contract signed for construction shall be executed no lather than December 27, 2024.
The City of Sedalia hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or nationl origin in consideration for an award.
