Attention! Utility Work Alert

Beginning Monday, November 17, 2025, the City of Sedalia’s Water Department will begin the Grand Avenue Water Main Replacement Project. The project area will extend along Grand Avenue from 24th Street south to 36th Street.

Work will primarily take place in the greenspace on the east side of the roadway, allowing Grand Avenue to remain open to traffic throughout most of construction. Only a few short-term lane or road closures will be needed at specific points during the project for safety and equipment access.

The project is scheduled for completion by April 1, 2026.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling near construction zones and to remain alert to workers and posted signage. We appreciate the public’s patience as we continue improving Sedalia’s water infrastructure.
