Mayor Proclaims Doctor's Day
(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : Mayor Bob Wasson, speaking at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, issued a proclamation designating March 30, 2008 as Doctor's Day in Sedalia.
Text of Proclamation
WHEREAS, licensed physicians throughout the State Fair City are devoted to relieving human suffering through the prevention and treatment of illness and injury; and
WHEREAS, licensed physicians safeguard our health and well-being through their reverence for human life and commitment to promoting beneficial advances in medicine; and
WHEREAS, the annual observation of Doctors' Day shows appreciation for the role of physicians in caring for the sick and advancing the art and science of medicine; and
WHEREAS, the 2008 celebration of Doctors' Day honors physicians for their dedication to promoting productive patient relationships, quality medical care, stringent medical ethics, and the best medical education.
NOW THEREFORE I, Bob Wasson, Mayor of the great City of Sedalia, Missouri, do hereby proclaim March 30, 2008 as DOCTOR'S DAY throughout the city and encourage all Sedalian's to recognize our physicians for their commitment to the health and well-being of our residents.
