Throughout the year, Sedalia Shop Local encourages everyone to shop your hometown, exploring all the quality goods and services available while also investing in your neighbors. The holiday season is always an exciting time to shop local as your buying decisions gift those you know and love plus help other families celebrate the most joyous of seasons.
Listed below are some of the 2022 promotions Sedalia Shop Local and participating merchants are proud to offer you this year.
Gift Your City
Sedalia Shop Local’s “Gift Your City” holiday promotion will begin on Monday, November 14, 2022 through Monday, December 12, 2022. For every $25 spent in one of our Sedalia Shop Local stores, customers will be able to enter the “Gift Your City” drawing for a chance to win a prize selected from that merchant. Each participating store will hold their own drawing on or after December 12, 2022. This promotion is a fun way to help your merchant neighbors experience a very Merry Christmas while giving you an opportunity to win a fabulous prize, either to keep for yourself someone on your Christmas list!
Holiday Storefront Contest
Stores throughout Sedalia are encouraged to decorate their window displays for the merchant’s chance of winning a self-care prize. Businesses will compete in two categories depending on their location; Downtown and City-wide.
Update: We’ve extended the Holiday Storefront Contest until Friday, December 9, 2022 in order to give merchants a little more time to decorate, so please keep voting for your favorite storefront!

Small Business Saturday Bingo
Update – we saw so many people out and about this Saturday, December 3, 2022 working on their bingo cards, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to enter the drawing. So, we’ll accept bingo cards until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022.
We like to say Gift Your City is our community-wide month long Small Business Saturday, but we will also have a fun Bingo card for people to fill out for a chance to have their name drawn for one of four raffle drawings. The complete card will be revealed on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 with people being encouraged to participate from Saturday, November 26th until December 3rd when we will draw for the prizes. Some of the actions will most definitely be on the honor system but other actions require participants to visit our local brick and mortar stores. This is just a fun way to remind shoppers to shop small and local for the holidays.
