5/18/2021 - Road Closures and Lane Restrictions: Intersection of E. 5th St. and S. Engineer Ave, and E. 7th St. Between S. Ohio Ave. and S. Lamine and Between S. Lamine Ave. and S. Massachusetts Ave., Tues., May 18 and Wed., May 19, 2021
The City of Sedalia’s Water Division contractor will be working on E. 5th St. at its’ intersection with S. Engineer Ave. this week beginning Tues., May 18 at 7:30 a.m. and continuing through Wed., May 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. The contractor will be capping and taking out of service an existing water main that has been replaced with a new line. On Wed., May 19, the roadway will be repaired. Travelers should anticipate E. 5th St. being closed to through traffic just west of its intersection with S. Engineer Ave. Additionally, S. Engineer Ave. will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flagging. Heavy equipment and workers will be operating in and near the roadway during this period. To avoid delays, alternate routes are recommended during this 2 day period.
E. 7th St. between S. Ohio Ave. and S. Massachusetts Ave. will be closed to through traffic beginning on Tues., May 18 at 7:30 a.m. and continuing through Wed., May 19, at 5:00 p.m. to allow for new water services to be tied in and the roadway to be repaired. The E. 7th St. intersections with S. Lamine Ave. and S. Massachusetts Ave. will both remain open. To avoid delays, alternate routes are recommended during this 2 day period.
