There are 2 openings for this position. First position is Saturdays 8:30 a.m. -- 1:00 p.m. (potential for additional hours) Second position is Sundays 12:30 p.m. -- 5:00 p.m. (potential for additional hours)

Duties:
- Check in/out materials.
- Register patrons and maintain patron accounts.
- Shelve book & keep collection organized.
- Assist patrons in finding needed materials, using library equipment, and assisting with reference questions.
- Act in a reader’s advisory capacity, when needed; recommend books, genres, authors, etc.
- Is aware of and promotes library Services and events to patrons.
- Offers a brief “get to know the library” to new patrons, as needed.
- Knows and understands how to use Horizon.
- Keeps the library neat, organized and clean.
- Knows and understands all library policies and procedures; communicates to patrons as needed.
- Assists with tasks regarding withdrawn materials, as needed.

- Promotes the library in the community when an opportunity arises.
- Communicates with Circulation Supervisor as needed regarding the main Circulation Desk.
- Communicates with Children’s Librarian as needed regarding the Children’s Department.
- Communicates with Director as needed regarding anything to do with management of the library, building, policies or safety.
- Is dependable, reliable, responsible & self-motivated to complete needed tasks with little to no supervision.
- Is a team player, can problem solve, eager to learn & willing to ask questions.
- Helps with normal operations of the library in the absence of the other employees.
- Performs special duties as requested by the Director.
