Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department assists the efforts of all City departments in the recruiting, selection and hiring of a staff of dedicated and qualified personnel to serve the citizens of Sedalia. Once hired, the Department works to train, develop and grow our staff members to further improve the service provided to the citizens, businesses and visitors to our community. The Human Resources Department also manages the employee benefits programs.
The City's primary goal is maintaining a dedicated, professional staff to provide quality support services to the public we serve. The City has recently transitioned to a merit-based salary increase system, encouraging and rewarding our exceptional team of staff members. Staff members are encouraged to seek out job-related training and certification and the City works to provide the opportunities for advancement that create high morale and reduce turnover in a competitive labor market.
